If your Senators are already co-signers, remind them. Flood their offices! Send them an email, call their offices, respond on their website:
Co-signers: https://www.congress.gov/bill/118th-congress/senate-bill/597/cosponsors
Tell them thank you and that we are counting on their vote for repealing the outdated, unfair WEP and GPO!

If one or both of your Senators have not signed on, here are some tools to change their minds:
1. Give them your short story: which public service, how many years worked, years married, amount you have lost. Why what happened to you is wrong. HOW MUCH ARE YOU LOSING?
2. The situation–Your WHOLE state is losing out because of the Offsets! Retirees in every state are losing their full share of Social Security funding each month because of the Windfall Elimination Provision and Government Pension Offset. Millions of dollars every year stay in Washington instead of building up your local economies where most Social Security benefits are spent.
Approximate amounts lost every year by a sampling of states because of the WEP/GPO:
Florida: $ 981,759,764 | Missouri: $ 460,417,836 | Texas: $ 2,585,013,284 |
N. Carolina: $ 280,715,336 | Ohio: $ 2,347,132,136 | Kentucky: $ 320,117,516 |
- The average future yearly WEP loss per retiree: $4,928/yr. (limited to $587/month)
- The average future yearly GPO loss per retiree: $14,698 (there is no limit on the amount you can lose because of the GPO!)
Number of affected retirees in your state:

3. Here is a list of the phone numbers of legislators who haven’t signed on. Call as many of them as you can now and leave a message:
